Born in China and began her studies at the LiaoNing Ballet of China School in 2005. She continued her training at the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, B.C. before being accepted at the Washington School of Ballet in D.C. She placed second in the Classical Dance category for the 2015 YAGP Pittsburgh Semi-Finals, received a performance award in the 2010 Osaka International Youngsters Ballet Competition and 2009 China Tao Li Bei Competition, and won Second Place at the 2009 Osaka International Youngsters Ballet Competition. Wenyu has also competed in the 2013 Korea International Ballet Competition and the 2011 Prix De Lausanne International Competition. Wenyu's repertoire includes roles in Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, and Coppelia.
