Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida is excited to introduce our new Arts Ballet Encounters initiative!
This program is designed to bring our audiences closer to our dancers and give our patrons
unique opportunities to learn more about our organisation and interact with our dancers. This program provides two new ways for you to get involved; Sneak Peaks into our in-studio rehearsals, and pre-show events for each program.
ARTS BALLET
ENCOUNTERS
IN-STUDIO REHEARSALS
We are excited to open up our studios to the general public to give you a sneak peak of what we are working on in the studio before each of our productions! Our in-studio encounters will take place on select dates throughout the season at 11:30am during our dancers regular rehearsal time.
During these open rehearsals you will get to see the rehearsal process first-hand, watching our dancers up close and from a different perspective. You will have the opportunity to meet our dancers and ask some questions about their experiences or life in-general, whilst enjoying some light refreshments! We hope this unique experience will give you the chance to learn more about our dancers and their backgrounds, gain an understanding of what the day-to-day life of a professional ballet dancer looks like and strengthen the relationship between our performers and our patrons.
PRE-SHOW EXPERIENCE
We are introducing a new Pre-Show Dancer Encounter Experience. This event will give you the opportunity to meet our dancers, and learn more about the arts and how you can help support arts and culture in our community, with the added bonus of photo opportunities and the chance to see some of our beautiful costumes and headpieces up-close.
With the aim of strengthening the arts community in South Florida, and bringing our audience members closer together and to our organization this event will run 30 minutes prior to select performances of each of our productions. Anyone with a ticket to watch the performance on the day of the pre-show encounter can take advantage of this opportunity without booking and free of charge!
Arts Ballet goes to School counts with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners and The Children's Trust, the Target Foundation and Citizen in the Arts.
