“Vertigo” is based on the movie of this same name created by magister of mystery Alfred Hitchcock. The ballet libretto was created by Baltasar Martin a Cuban born writer and editor based in Miami.
Choreographer Vladimir Issaev has created the Adagio “Scene D’amour” of the Hotel Room premiered in October of 2017 and later presented at the International Ballet Festival of Miami 2018.
The ballet exalts the masterpiece of this very creative and enigmatic English film director and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. The story was based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac.
The ballet libretto narrates this psychological thriller through the perspective of a ballet lover who is enchanted with the story.
