Program 3 - Fairy Doll |
Music: Bayer, Choreography: Vladimir Issaev |
| In 2012 we will bring back the beautiful ballet “The Fairy Doll”, originally choreographed to music by Josef Bayer in 1888, and this time revived by Vladimir Issaev with imaginative costumes by Jorge Gallardo and creative sets by Elena Bond |
|
“Fairy Doll”, originally “Die Puppenfee” by composer Josef Bayer and first performed in 1888, was one of the most successful productions in the late 19th century.
Issaev’s recreation and revival was a gift to the audiences of South Florida in 2009.
“Bayer’s music is so inspiring and beautiful, I could not let his opportunity pass by, says Vladimir Issaev. I fell in love with every variation of this music and the more I researched, the more I felt South Florida’s audiences deserved a ballet production of this kind.”
The production counts on creative and imaginative costume designer Jorge Gallardo to make all dancers look like real dolls and the sets will be under the responsibility of painter and artist Elena Bond. |
